Posted by: tw_1_n_star

Posted by: The Rex

wow, that's a lot bigger than i thought

Posted by: jules

whoa....way too big.....

Posted by: tequilaworm

sexy and a nice pic taken with the phone

i want one

Posted by: phatroyale

thats one big super-sized phone...a bit too big for my tastes

Posted by: tw_1_n_star

This phone is actually quite big but looks smaller in pics hehe

Posted by: MITHRIL

It's big, but keep in my mind how tall that beautful screen is I don't mind a big phone as long as it's well built and designed....like the GX series phones

Posted by: ataq

if you think that phone is big check the mitacs out. those things are huge and the buttons are so spread out. that is wack

Posted by: Malaco0219

ugly design.. good features..but problems with features including BT data transfer and other stuff

hard to decide

Posted by: tw_1_n_star

Well, I've had bad experiences using the GX22, so I don't think I'll try sharp phones anymore.

Posted by: Malaco0219

well.. gx 22 did have some bad flaws... but i would say gx 22 looks better then gx 32.. dunt u think so?

Posted by: tw_1_n_star

Well, the GX22 had a really plain look, GX32 has somewhat of a better look, not as plain I guess. But both phones are still pretty plain looking and are quite big compared to a lot of other phones now.

thats ok i guess..b oth look plain..but honestly dun like gx32's design and crippled functinos

Posted by: DaninChina

Could someone elaborate more about what functions are crippled and how?

Also, how does the GX-32 compare in terms of size to the GX-22?

Lastly, does anyone know if the issues with the T9 dictionary have been fixed? (The GX-22 apparently would "forget" words added to the dictionary after a fairly short period of time).

Anyone have experience with the phone's reception abilities?

Just curious...seems like the phone has potential to be pretty strong in terms of features. Then again, maybe it got rushed to market and there are a few too many bugs...by the end of this year there should be a lot of phones with comparable features on the market...Any thoughts on this?

the pic quality is amazing! The phone...eh, nothin special, but the picture quality is...woow

Posted by: MITHRIL

What kind of OS does the GX-32 use? I know it's not Symbian....

Posted by: The Rex

^ some crappy sharp os; it's not a smartphone

i'm gonna pass on the gx32
* a lot bigger than i thought
* crippled bt and ir

Same hahaha!
I am getting GX22 too! i mean wtf... a whooping 1K CDN!
only spoiled kids w/ rich parents can do that ( or rich adults of cos)

Does anyone know how big GX 32 and GX22 can print out clearly?
I mean... can GX22 print out 4 X 6 Photos clearly?
Can GX32 print out a whole full photo paper clearly?

Posted by: MediaGuru

I've just successfully had photos printed at my local drug store on 4 x 6 using the GX-32. I just saved to the SD card and had them take the photos and print them. They looked pretty good.
The GX-22 on the other hand takes reasonable photos but only VGA size so I wouldn't be comfortable doing a 4 x 6 photo print and trying to pass it off as a photo. The GX-22 was great for web photos and viewing on a PC.
By and large the Sharp phones take great photos. I suspect it's due to their CCD sensor which is significantly more sensitive than the CMOS sensors other phone makers use. Also, you don't really need the "flash" with a CCD - it has zero effect over a foot away anyway.

Actually, i think GX22 pics looks just as good as GX32 if they are compared within the VGA size, which is 640 X 480. Theortically, 4 x 6 photos should be smaller than 640 X 480 size. Are you positive it would not take good 4 x 6 photo print? Do you have a first hand experience just like the GX32?

Not sure if u understand what i said exactly..
i mean pictures taken at 640 X 480 for both phone theortically should be same quality, cos they are done by CDD camera.
If they are under the same resolution, then the two should be equal in quality.

ooo

but 22 is like.3 megapixel or somethign isnt it? and 32 is 1.3 i am not super smart a cameras..but wouldnt that mean 32 is better ... even if its in same size?

I took a good look in the site, but I disagree.
First of all, the only difference that person stated was a much brighter "flash" used in GX-30 than the one in GX-20.
That sound not necessary make GX20 picture quality worst than GX30 under 640 X 480.

I know, there is a comparison of GX20 and GX30 pic done by some dude. However, i believe that person didn't adjust the flash carefully in GX20. I have seen much brighter lighting condition with GX20 than that one shown in the site. Besides, there was no need for flash in that condition, it was a bright clear day OUTSIDE! The author also wrote the GX30 screen is slightly better than GX20, but that doesnt prove anything about the camera either.

I may be wrong.. but if i would like u to correct me.

Without the BT and IR problem, Gx32 is alot better than Gx22, and they are actually the same size except 32 is more flat and 22 is more fat (i put both on my hand and testing it)

Posted by: MITHRIL

I swear, what kind of manufacturer would use software to restrict the power of their own products....the gx32 had everything that I wanted, but now it's gimped...wtf...

Posted by: The Rex

^ sadly everyone except sony ericsson (and series 60)
