i heard there isn't a way, that true?

the data cable software doesn't support it. I was wondering if anyone has tried using bitpim or gagin to access the phones files. If possible, then we could maybe move our downloaded files and mp3 rings into the main ringtone folder and use them for caller groups. We could also then probably use gif files

i upload videos by e-mail, but u have to be careful when capturing not to go over e-mail limit size.

btw, what is bitpim/gagin?

How do you play the videos - because I transferred them via Mail to but could not play them

how? do you send an attachement with the email to your phone? bitpim/gagin are programs that verizon and now virgin mobile users use to get things onto their phone. It basically lists out the directories in your phone and you can add and delete stuff. gagin stands for get around get it now and was developed so that verizon users didn't have to pay for wallpapers and ringtones from verizon, they could get their own. Virgin mobile people are using bitpim to load mp3 ringtones onto the slider since you can't download things thanks to virgin filter

ummm... ok, so how do we send the videos via email from phone?

Posted by: Kricket

if you go into the video folder or mflash folder and highlight the video - you just click options and then you can select "send as e-mail" or "send as mms"...

i tried out bitpim/gagin, they both rely on brew.

How do you send an email as an "email" when i try sending an email to phone, it ends up being sent as an sms =/ This happens even when I attach files to the email I try to send to phone. It converts it to an sms with no attachment

Posted by: Spirals

maybe it's your carrier...e-mail has no problems for me, and even if ic an't connect to server, it doesn't send as an sms.

Well i am using fido and the network selections have only US carriers. Do i have to set up my own settings for fido?

Posted by: onefinechinkboy

is it possible yet?

I use email, too, and all you have to do is set up a free account and use the 90's email client. Save attachment and you're done. I'm going to assume that there is nothing new on this front since...March...
