How to transfer Treo 600 address book to SIM card?

Ok, this has got to be such a basic thing that either it's prominently displayed in some faq that I've failed to find, or it's too obvious to put it in the faq...

... but one way or another, I just can't figure out how to transfer my contact list to the SIM card from my treo600.

Any help much appreciated!

From what I've read on TreoCentral it's not possible. What a lame thing to omit, huh?

When u insert a SIM for the very first time...and if u havent Hotsynced it..pressing the contacts button will prompt you to copy the contacts from SIM. The best way to do this is to perform a hard reset, delete all data (a factory reset is even better)..and hit the phone key (first on the left), select the contacts menu from the D-pad and let it search ur SIM for contacts. This should work.

Ummm, I think fudgius is asking how to go in the opposite direction - from Treo to SIM. Useful if you want to use a cheap phone somewhere but still want all your contact info.

Exactly - I want to pop my sim card into a SE T616 (please, no 'why would you want to do that?' questions) for a few days, and it would be um ... convenient ... if I didn't have to reenter all of the contacts manually

Anyone know of a third party util that may accomplish this?

if thats the case.. why doing you turn on your t616 ir port.. and send it from your t600?... thats what i do.. its a temp solution..

Hey, now that's cool! I didn't realize I could beam a whole category of contacts..... problem solved thanks man!

(still think it's lame that you can't copy straight to the sim, but at least it isn't holding me up anymore)
