A830 Newbie

Newbie here with A830 on DT. I have played with the newer V300, V400 and V500s. Seems that they have newer versions of the Flex software. Can I cross-upgrade my phone, or is it specific to idividual phones? I got PST and VictorGSM up and running, no worries. Can't do much without files. Anyone have any idea where to find these files? TIA!
