Hi all. Does anyone know if there's any way to get rid of the Baby Vox animations when the phone is powered up or down? Would deleting the file mess anything up? Thanks in advance for any replies!

there are baby vox animations when you power up? Mine has this blue background with the outline of the phone and the words innostream with some kinda music

the actual korean versions of the phones have these babyvox vis files

its just like with the white inno 90's from korea

They are actually .msf files or something. The .vis files are the format for the animated wallpaper if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, BD5400, you're not missing much!

youre absolutely correct - my bad!

the babyvox video on my phone is an msf file - but im not sure how to change the power up video...

someone on here had some sort of inno 90 shortcut to check the software version or something - i dont remember who and i dont feel like searching through all of the posts

maybe theres a shortcut to get in and change the file...

anyone?

if you dont have the one that plays when you start up your phone you kinda are missing out. the american inno 90 has a real choppy version of the video. the import one, chinese and korean, have a real video where one memeber of baby vox walks towards you then a whole bunch of moving and finally a wink. it looks real good and totlally blows away the chopped up us version. but you can get bored of it real fast... unless you love kpop

Dangit, I have the US version. Is there a way to change the start up animations?

There is no Korean version of the phone. The only versions which exist are Chinese and English. The manufacture is Korean, but there no korean language localization of the phone at all. Apparently Innostreams target market is China/HK/Taiwan.

And yes, the US version of the phone is regarded as crummy compared to the Asian model. Most Chinese stores won't stock the English model at all (While for most phones they have both).

I would have gotten the chinese version if it didn't cost so much just because of the nicer box it comes with. I mean, i wouldn't pay like 100 bucks extra just for a nice box which i'm just going to throw on a shelf before time to resell it with the box anyways =/

i kinda agree that the babyvox power animation does sound cool... but i still get ooh's and aah's from the innostream animation thing that comes with the US version, plus, I have brother bear trailer installed in the .msf files, and its like watching it from the tv itself, the sound though is a little soft, but hey, it still does its job of showing the video capabilities of inno...

How long is the trailer and how big is the file in the phone? Want to get some idea before I start downloading .msf files.

while the video is playing try hitting the up button on the side, for some reason the volume always starts off low, and where did you get the file from?

That's what i'm trying to find out too. Can't seem to find any on NON-chinese sites because I can't read chinese

i don't mind chinese sites, but i've only gotten .vis (MMFlash) files from chinese sites.

Actually while the wall papers and pre-loaded media is diffrent, most people don't care since they can goto any website and get new stuff. The real problem is with the English firmware, which is why a lot of Chinese stores have absolutly no reason to carry it (Especialy since they'd want to sell the asian model anyways). I don't know what Innostream did, but in their conversion to strip Chinese support out, they must have broken something serious to cause so many dangerous OS glitches. Having a phone which reboots and formats all the media and stored data?!? Thats total BS! But thats just one of the reasons why some Chinese stores have dropped the English Innostream line so quickly. But the really crummy part is that all the supporting software and accessories are designed for the Chinese model. The English line is isolated from accessories and updates.

Actually a friend of mine got the English model by mistake and he was having lock up issues with the phone. Also when he used the Chinese PC-Synch software with the datacable it was disconnecting and giving him a lot of trouble. But since he returned it and got a Chinese model everything has worked good. He also upgraded to Chinese Windows XP and the PC-Synch software doesn't give him greif anymore too.

i got the brother bear msf from the dealer... it was pre-installed in the phone, together with a video of a sleeping i don't have any idea how you can download msf files other than through wap and i can't find a non-chinese site because i can't read chinese to...

Ah, ××××it. I have the english version of phone and chinese version of software I think. The box that the cable comes with is in chinese but the software itself is in english. It keeps saying can't connect to phone but like once out of 30 tries, it can connect but after a while it automatically disconnects
