I'm thinking of upgrading my phone (currently using Nokia 6160) which is a couple of years old but I've been very happy with it in terms of reception, coverage and features.
I looked into upgrading it to a Motorolla T193, but the sales person tried to convince me of the Panasonic TX310 and i can't find any reviews on it. Does anyone know anything about it? Anyone used it? What do you think?
Thank you
Nansi

Hi There.
All the experience I have selling the tx-310, is that if you are a light user of the phone, it should be fine. It has great reception, however the battery is awful if you are a moderate to heavy user of the phone. carry a car lighter charger with you if you do get it.
Good luck.

Hmm, well I'm a heavy user of the phone, or I will be, I use a 6160 Nokia right now and it's been fine, I hook it in the charger at night when I make long phone calls and I'll have it in teh car charger... does that make a difference?

The phone will be like carrying a feather rather than a brick. You can buy an extended battery for it that will outlast your 6160. Features for the dollar are unsurpassed! There have been plenty of reviews posted around the web. Upsides are features and reception. Downsides are talk time and speaker volume. I love mine and plan on switching to the new panasonic gsm later this year.

What do you mean by speaker volume?

I mean speaker volume, it is not as loud as I think it should be. I typically run mine wide open.

What do you recommend that has good battery life?

Lighter, same size as your current phone, very loud speaker volume, excellent unrivaled battery life for a TDMA phone, familiar Nokia menu system, infrared port for sending information to and from PDAs, calculator function, can store e-mail addresses and several contacts per entry.....you cannot go wrong with this phone and it is not nearly as heavy as the 6160 and an added bonus, no external antenna but excellent reception regardless. I would look into it.

What sucks is that I was hoping to get something smaller in size than the one i have, I did see the 6360

I wouldn't buy the 310 just yet
especially when the 320 will be coming out soon

It is known as the Versio and is similar to the Allure but half the memory with watered down features, no downloadable or custom melodies or pictures! It came out at the same time as the Allure last fall. Only plus side is changable faceplates
Sorry for the disappointment
