It's all subjective. What I consider important you may not. The question is as easy to answer as what's better CDMA or GSM. In other words there won't ever be any kind of definitive answer because someone will disagre with your best.

There is no such thing as a best phone. It all depends on what your requirements/preferences are.

Hmmm, this thread got me thinking about me old 3210, and I bought one off e-bay, just now. I loved that phone; it was nice to hold, it was so easy to use, and it was virtually indestructable!

I had one. I got a 3310. I gave the 3210 to my brother. He trashed it.

in my opinion the best nokia is 6600, and all the ones that were created after it, 6630, 6680, n70...and mainly the s60 symbian nokias...those are the phones that will never get u bored!there is no limit to what u can do with those phones!

i whipped that ugly looking thing out of my pockets during college days...and turned the heads of even the most wealthy,hippest crowds in the city...
yeah it was like no experience felt before...probably you 8890 and 8800 series owners have felt the same pride back then and now??? the answer is the sentimental value that your favorite Nokia brought you...

I agree but the 6620 is better than the 6600... just check the specs... the 6682 is quite nice... i'll like to have that n70 or n91!

the best Nokia for me was my 8890
back then (7-6 years ago) it had good reception, good battery life, and it never died on me no matter how many times I dropped it! LOL... I still have it too!

For it's time, I think the 8890 was the most amazing phone. It was years ahead of the competition in styling, compact size, sturdy design, good features and great service and battery life. It was everything that a solid and great looking phone should be. After that, I truly think my 6230b is one of the most amazing phones. Coming off a terrible V600 Moto, I picked up a 6230b and immensely enjoyed having double the reception plus this phone has a decent screen, decent camera and video cam, expandable mmc, great battery life, and a whole bunch of other features that I do not use, all in a little compact case. I mean, I have the black oem cover on it but it's not the sexiest phone out there by any means. My friend saw it and said dude you usually have crazy new phones, whats up with this thing? Yea I guess its plain looking but damn its good at doing what it was made for.

Ok, here's my history and one requirement. It has to be solid phone.
I had an old 6161 which I liked for the time period then went to Moto 551v. Dropped it once, scratched it to he!! and it seems to pick it's own time to work. Went back to a Nokia 6340i and love it, have dropped it and had case go one way and the battery go the other. Put it back together and off I go.
Don't need a camera, web, etc. I work in Real Estate and want a phone I can trust and won't fall apart first time it gets dropped.
Also like the fact that the Nokia will ring and vibrate at the same time, not the 551v.
Would like to go back to flip phone (size) and wondering about the newer Nokia flips for Cingular?

if u are talking abt unique styling: Nokia 7280 and 7380
if u are talking abt functions: Nokia N-series fones, those blackberry and PDA fones...

I understand the 3390 is a very good phone but would like to get back to a flip (cingular). The only ones, so far are the 6061, 6102'i', 6170.
If I'm going to stay with a candy bar style, I'll stay with the 6340i.

8260 back in the day was the shiznit....

6230 is a great phone, the only downsize is that video capture is limited to only 4 minutes

And this is the ONLY phone that will transmit kepypad tones, ringtones and MP3's over bluetooth... It sux that it wont play mp4's.
The 6230i is much better, but no 850 on it... go figure..!!

Help Nokia 6030 users! (I have to write it here because I can't post new threads for some reason)

I have a Nokia 6030 with a cracked LCD (i can't see a thing), but I really need my address book.
Unfortunately, the address book is stored on the phone memory, and I need a way to copy it to the SIM.

Please give me the correct key sequence in order to copy the contacts from the phone to the SIM.

In ya'lls opinion, which Nokia has the 'hottest' reception? I don't have to have all the bells and whistles. I text, make calls, want bluetooth (gotta have my Springsteen ring tones!) and would like a decent camera. Other than that, I won't use it much. I live in Central Mississippi, out in the country. I am with ATT/Cingular and my old Nokia 6010 got GREAT reception but no bluetooth or camera.... Any suggestions? Thanks, Wanda

Nokia 6103/6102i may suit your needs, also check out the 6126/6133 twins, they are also good and you may be able to get one free with a contract upgrade!

Well easily my old 8850, that was a truly outstanding phone the looks everything, pure class! Too bad the screen had some quality glitches but other than the easily the best thing that's come out from nokia in regard to what the competition had to offer.

Quite funny to see that so many people say the same thing about this phone even if it's really old and this thread is pretty new and up to date. So all old 88xx series owners GREAT to be you!

I setted on a 6126 or 6126h (I think one is for the US and the other overseas) but I received it WITHOUT a battery! Geezzzz!!! So, as soon as the battery gets here I'll post letting ya'll know how the reception works for me and how I like it in general. So far, I like the looks but that's all I know about it for now. No battery, Geezzzz.....

i spontaniously developed affection towards nokia models.
i wouldn't know about the best one, it has changed over the years.
but what is certain is the fact that nokia has the best software (or at least, best for me) and most simple, not pretencious at all, and at the same time beautiful design of all the phones i've tried prior to that.

N82 and N97 IMO... N82 has the best camera out of the Nokia lineup due to its xenon flash. N97 is like the jack of all trades... it does everything.
