GX30/32 users: what exp card r u using?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

hi all GX30/32 users!

Finally I got my sharpie last nite. Been playing whole nite with it. Well.. I went to many shops thinking what exp card to buy..

I noted that Sharp's foto compression is very impressive. Taking a fine quality M size photo only outputs to abt 20K and one with max resolution and fine quality only amounts to about 300K.

Therefore seems like we do not need to buy 1GB or 512 MB SD card.

Do reply to indicate what card are you using.

cheers

If your are just using your GX30/32 picture function and not the MP3 Player, the supplied 8MB Vodafone SD-Card should be enough. If you plan to actually use the MP3-Player, a 256 MB SD-Card offers the best value currently (around 70 to 80 Euros).

Yes, I am able to download the mmf files to GX32. i just put the mmf files on my SD Card (put it under SOUND folder) by my laptop, and when i look at the sound gallery on the GX32 menu, it showed smaf files instead of mmf. i think it converts itself automatically, and of course i could play the ringtone on the phone.

There's no conversion going on......mmf/smaf are the same thing. The Sharp just recognizes the file as smaf.

I am using 256Mb SD card and it is more than sufficient for all purposes ... even if you keep taking XXL photos

Hi all!

I'm new here, anyway I just got my Sharpie last night too (GX-32).

Haven't really played with it yet though I should say the camera and screen is so sharp! Even my colleague commented that it was like a DVD quality kinda images!

Well, anyone knows where I can download any ringtones or images or MP3 into my phone?

Hey Car!

Thanks! Will check it out...

Oh can i ask what's the code for the phone when I need to delete all the contacts at once?

Also the infra is not usable to transfer file from another phone? It says infra only for modem... So unusable is it?

im using a 128MB MMC...

I am using a 64Mb one... came in the box (I was surprised as I heard that most boxes didn't come with a mmc)

Oh ok.. Me using 32Mb. So does anyone has the code to delete all the contacts at one go?

Also is there a way to input words during sms? It does not act like the Nokias whereby i can insert new words into the dictionary.

Sigh will be disappointed if there's no such function.

I just found out how to add words to dictionary on the GX-30. Not sure if most people knew this, but my friend had a GX20 for one year and thought that you couldnt add words to the dictionary. I myself looked through the manual and couldn't find any reference to this.

It was only when I looked at the Sharp website that they had this in their FAQs:

Q - How can a word be added into the T9 dictionary?

A - The process for adding a word into the T9 dictionary is as follows;

1. Select Messages/SMS/Compose
2. Press down the # key until T9 is deselected (T9 disappears from the top left corner of the display). The phone is now in single tap text entry mode.
3. Enter the desired word
4. Reselect T9 by pressing the # key until T9 is displayed on the top left hand corner of the display
5. The desired word is now saved in the T9 dictionary

Hope this is helpful to someone!

Also, attached a nice wallpaper image for the guys...
