Slider User dictionary, editting????

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hello team,

I love my Slider but have been a little slack. I've added the odd mis-spelt word to my user dictionary, and also added words which should have had the first letter capitalised, all in lower case.

Had a rush of blood tonight and decided to edit my user dictionary and tidy it up a little, and blow me down if I can find anything to help me in the manual.

Can someone pls assist me to make some edits.

TIA.

Cheers, FBD..................

I've only seen options to add a word, not edit or delete

Wirelessly posted (SublimeFan: SE47/1.0.00 UP.Browser/4.1.26l UP.Link/5.0.2.9)

I need help with this too. Instead of was, it says wap, so, po , a, b, etc . I hate it.

This is something I too have wondered how to do.

G'day again team.

Seems it's not possible. below is a quote from am email I received from Kyocera today.

"To answer your query, I would like to inform you that once the word has
been added in eZi Text mode it cannot be deleted. However, as when you
use the eZi mode the most commonly used words get added to the database
and the older ones will be overwritten."

×××××× I say!!!

Ok, how about a factory reset? Is that possible with this phone? Would that return my dictionary to the dictionary of old, and then I can CAREFULLY start adding my words again................

Cheers, fbd................

you could try, but I'm not sure what that does to kyocera phones. Back when I had nextel, I did a factory or master reset and my phone no longer had service and I had to take it in and have them fix it. Ever since then, I've been too afraid to try a reset on any of my other phones
