the 5150 is hands down better, if you are on a budget thought the 5250 is on sale atraioshack for $99

does it have vibrate? how much of a size difrernece is there? does the outside screen illuminate when being called? how is the sound quality? reception? (all compared to the 5250 of course)

they are both good phones, it just depends on if you want the sleek, cool, color screened king of the sprint phones, or if you want the dainty, but still full featured princess of sprint phones. personally i like my5150 beter than my 5250. i get a lot more attention with my 5150

i carry my phone in my pocket. is the size difference significant enough to cause discomfort with the 5150 in your pocket? and is it 3g?

You are comparing apples to oranges. The 5150 is FAR superior to the 5250. Quality, reception, design, reliability, looks, display, etc.

you should never carry a phone in your pocket. you are supposed to keep your antenna at least an inch from you body at all times, and when it is in your pocket you may have difficulty recieving calls because your body interferes with the reception of your phone.

i have no other place to put it on my body other than my pocket. it's worked fine for me for 2 years already.

i would suggest you get a holster or leather case so as that you can wear it. read the manual to your phone and you will see what i mean. cdma phones have very sensetive antennas, keeping it that close to your body will lead to you missing calls.

i have had my scp-5150 for 2 days now and love it! it is a little bigger than the lg 5250 but now i dont worry about not havin gmy phone in my pocket because i can feel it heh. it also feels very solid and i can actually hold it inbetween my head and my shoulders to talk, the 5250 was just too small and fragile for that. i am waiting for my data cable to arrive and then i will completely customize this phone. the rings have a better soudn quality than the 5250 as well. my friend would tell me even though it was midi it soudned like crap and i agreed. this phone reproduces the sound much much better. i am very happy :-). i havnt had a chance to test battery life using the screen backlight and internet, something i did very often with the 5250.

i have been using an lg 5250 for a week now, it would seem that we have swaped phones, i do like my 5150 much better, the lg phone is ok, but it lacks in the reception department and it is a little too small. it is a very good phone though, just not as good as a 5150

Posted by: Kane3030

when i had that phone, i liked it a lot but i am more happy with my 5150. the biggest problem with the 5250 was not having vibrate with the ring. the 5150 has that....and the fact that its 3g data compatible just sweetens it. also, that external light on the 5150 makes you not have to look at the screen to see if you mised a call or got a message or something. i am very satisfied. did i mention that the screen is color? hehe

Posted by: ImmerStark

just so you don't get disapointed the 3g data is for a pc connection only, the browser built into the phone does not support 3g

Posted by: Kane3030

yes, i know. therses a small possibilty that it can be upgraded though

the solid feeling of this phone alone makes it way better than the 5250. it felt too fragile and scratched way too easily
