Originally posted by higgy55 Hi, i had exactly the same problem. bought a usb cable off ebay and kept getting "trying to connect to the handset" even with panasonics official software. The problem is with the usb driver that comes with the cable. If you go to this link : http://www.mobileaction.com.tw/English/solutions-ir.htm and download their software and driver you will have no problem as it will make your pc believe you have the official cable. You will have to uninstall the old driver and completely remove the device first. Believe me this will work! |
, and also I don't have a clue how to install it as the other USB cable, I tried installing it myself from a list but still no avail.

Originally posted by Bekity yaaaaay i've fixed my handset manager! the company emailed me the updated drivers. I had to uninstall the mat usb-to-serial bridge and install the usb manually. i had to go to have disk and pick the new drivers i had been sent and it installed the cable as 'prolific usb-to-serial cable'. it installed as com3 so i had 2 change it to com5 so that the handset manager could connect, and it has! i have put the new drivers online so you lot can get them http://www.digitalbrain.com/bekity/...anasonicX70.zip |
