Flip On or Off???

Hi Peeps,
After seeing a friend of mine take of his flip on his P900 I thought that I should do the same seen as it looks absolutely execellent and more professional then with the flip on.

Also it means less weight to carry around, the only problem is that I send lots and lots of texts and was just thinking would taking the flip off make it harder to send messages and do simple tasks???

Cheers.

Right so i've now removed the flip and activated virtual flip, but it seems that the screen is not that bright anymore.

Is is supposed to be like that????

Dont know about the brightness, it should be the same...I never got used to the flip off on my P800 and the P900s flip is so much nicer now that when I take it off I miss it

On a P800, flip off, for a few reasons:

1) When I first bought my P800, it didn't come with one. Even when I eventually got one, I didn't like the way it was creating little marks on my screen when I'd press the keys

2) The P800 doesn't fit the holster I got with the keypad on

3) I don't like the way the keys feel when pressed

3) It looks waaaaay sharper without the flip

mijladwa, I never really noticed the difference in the screen's brightness with or without the flip keypad. Of course I'm referring to a P800 with a milky looking screen to begin with.

If I get a P900, I'm not sure if I'd remove it. I agree with atong...it does look nice.

Hi, ShovelhEd!

I would take the flip off of mine, but for some reason when I do I can't unlock the phone. Has anyone else had this same problem?

Posted by: atong

how so?

if the screen is locked you just pull up or push down the jog dial, and then push once inwards

i dont know about p900, but my p800 is off always

text msging is hard when ur driving cuz u have to look @ the screen, but it makes it look more like a pda then a brick imo =)

P800 off
P900 on

it looks much more classy with it on...
I've gotten more compliments with it on

and less screen scratches

i agree with fijbert.......

when i had my P800, the flip was off. it looked much nicer.

i removed the flip on my P900 for a while but eventually put it back on. its just so much easier for SMS and basic things. im a heavy phone user while driving (using an HBH-60 for safety ) so the keypad is a necessity now. im not going to take the stylus out and start tappin away on the screen while going 85 MPH down the NJ turnpike

flip on for both the p800 and p900... my fat little fingers can't use the virtual keypad, and pulling ou the stylus to punch out a number didn't make much sense to me
