Verizon Slider need help please

ok, I just got the slider and its great and all but I have some questions.

1. When I try to go on WAP it tells me it has to set up security and whatever, so I click ok. It connects and then says "Security Error: Key not recognized." How can I fix this?

2. I've seen ways to get free ringtones and WAP for the Virgin Mobile version of this phone. Do they work with Verizon?

For #1, you're getting that because you're not paying for it. Verizon charges a fee for mobile web.

I'm unsure if free WAP is available for the Verizon slider yet.

you phone has brew so you cant download anything for free but if you buy the cable you can send rings to your phone. and i doubt verizon would give you free wap

Of course Verizon wouldn't give you free wap, they don't give anything away.

But the original poster is talking about WAPTunnel, which is a way to use WAP with a Verizon phone, just not using Verizon's WAP service. I did it all the time with my CDM-9500.

Anway, I haven't found a way to get this working with my VM Slider on Verizon... just sits there eating airtime but nothing comes up. Maybe those with Verizon Sliders will have better luck.

I just got it working today. Set up WAP tunnel, then add a website you want to visit in the contacts menu. Then go to the url and hit the call button.

I did some searching but couldnt really find the site addresses to add to contacts. I thought one of them was wap.aol.com but that doesnt work. Can someone give me an example of a wapsite to try.

Connection refused. I can get to other web sites though. Like google etc. I am wondering if I can download any ringtones.
