Posted by: Trenton_net

Mose Chinese stores would carry something like that. Im sure I could get one anytime too.

dual band does not always mean not for use in America, the sammy e715 is dual band but it has 1900. The g510 is dual band but its 900/1900 and therefore can be used with tmobile and some att networks in the us. (yes I know I said the g510 was triband earlier but I was wrong, its dual band but it still has 1900)

don't see anything special about it ..

mainly the displays and bluetooth for the g800, other than that its just like many other phones

Posted by: tw_1_n_star

G510 reminds me of the rectangular look of the V878. The camera and flashlight thing is also in the same place as the V878 hehe.

Posted by: Exciting700

Hello,

Did anyone saw this phone real before?
If so,how small it really is?

Thanks

Posted by: New Beetle

I have seen it lots, its nice and small. Like maybe a Samsung S200, just a tiny bit bigger.

Posted by: Exciting700

COOL!!!
The Samsung SGH-S200 is really small,so if the Pantech G500 is like that,it's COOL!

I second that.

To me, it's not comparable to GX32. It sounds like another Innostream but /w BT to me hehe.

Posted by: Exciting700

Hello

Isn't USD 380 costly???

But atleast it's cheaper you mean?

most people here need the g510 or g800. The g500 doesn't work in america, no 1900 band

Posted by: seedub

Well, the place I would get it from at the price I quoted just dropped the price of there phones today. The price is now around $320 USD.

Posted by: FoneNut

Any ideas when the G800 is coming out? And how much will it cost? Right now I'm only able to find prices for G500 as for G510 sorry guys Dun think I can help.

Posted by: braindead5400

sigh...looks like i'll be making a trip to hong kong

Posted by: Chin Yeong

i got this phone already .. lucky me it included a data cable .. so have fun

Posted by: Hjorten

I got the phone as well.. It's really neat..

However the SMS sucks quite a bit.. You have to choose T9 everytime (and you do this by a menu, pretty slow) you start a new sms if you wanna use T9, but the worst part is that if you wanna input a number or a non-letter character (like a ".") you have to switch from T9 to number mode and then back (using the menu), no holding down a key or anything..
AND you cannot add words to T9..

But it's major cool with the big external screen, and you can even access calls and sms menu on the outer display.. neat..

Posted by: braindead5400

that's basically what the inno does except mine starts in t9. When in multitap mode, you can't input numbers, you have to go to number mode. I still want a 800 or 510

Posted by: FoneNut

Those owning an Inno, how's the reception and those having the Pantech 500 how's yours?

Over here I managed to find both phones, it's $600 for either but the only difference is that Pantech has a year's local warranty while Inno doesn't. In your opinion which is a better buy? Both are available in white!

Posted by: Hjorten

Reception is fairly good on PAntech.

Oh another thing, it doesn't take the new fast 64Kb SIM card (at least mine doesn't, so I had to put an older simcard in it)..

Posted by: FoneNut

Anyone knows how to check if the sim card is 64KB or the older one? What's the difference between the new and old

Posted by: FoneNut

HAhahaha! I'm getting the G800 in a month's time.I have already ordered it. A fren is working inside the compnay in Korea. The price is really cheap! abt US$250 for it....hope to get it soon!

Hi, currently own this phone and here are some complaints about it.

- Package didn't come with a desktop charger, and it's a hassle switching between the 2 batteries to recharge.

- SMS is really a nightmare, getting a '?' is 10 clicks of <1> in Multitap.

- Camera features are fine and all, but picture quality could be better.

- G500 Sync software.... still not very familiar with it. Couldn't even retrieve my photos from the phone to the PC.

- Can only use taken photos to set for sub-LCD wallpaper.

Nevertheless, this phone is a really neat gadget and i love it.
