Inspired by Bengalboy's Bible, I have decided to make a picture tutorial to help those that are struggling to get GPRS to work on their P900 when using Cingular service. So here ya go. Just follow these steps and you'll be all set.....

First, lets start at the application screen. Click on "Control Panel".........

When the Control Panel opens, click on "Connections" on the bottom toolbar. From there, go to "Internet Accounts".........

It will then bring up the following screen. Please keep in mind that if you have not set up your internet account yet, you will not see anything listed in the box. So I will be clicking "Edit" to lead you through the steps. But you will be pressing "New"........

For the account name, I entered in "Cingular GPRS". You can put whatever you want though based on your own preferences. For "Connection Type", make sure "GPRS" is selected........

Now click on the "Advanced" button. You will be brought to the following screen. Make sure the box that says "User Name and Password Required" is checked. Here are the settings (please remember that they are CASE SENSITIVE:

Now, click on the "Log In" tab. Make sure both boxes are checked to get both the IP and DNS addresses automatically.........

On the "Proxy" tab, make sure that "Use Proxy Server" is NOT checked...........

On the "Other" tab, make sure that "Enable PPP extensions" is checked and that "Authentication" is set to "Normal"

on the "QoS" tab, make sure that all options are set to "Subscribed" with the exception of "Reliability" which should be set to "Class 3".....................

Now, click "Done" to bring you back to this screen.......

Now click "Done" one more time. When it brings you back to the main "Internet Accounts" screen, click on the "Other" tab. Set the first two options to "Never" and the third to "Automatic".......

Now, click "Done" and you are all set. Go ahead and open Opera or whatever browser you use on your P900 and you will be able to browse HoFo from wherever you are......

Enjoy
