I was wondering who could tell me how to download pics and ringtones from my home computer to my Audiovox 8410 via data cable.

because I would like to do the same. I asked the audiovox tech support and their 'official' answer is that it can't be done: only files downloaded from the telephone service provider can be used.

I guess I can answer myself. It is possible to load wallpapers and screensavers to the 8410 using a data cable, bitpim (0.7 test 10) and VoxIndexEditor. All the info is out there, especially at http://smithplanet.com/8600/#freewallpapers. The 8410 apparently uses the same software as the 8600. A huge debt of gratitude and many thanks to the genius at smithplanet!

Yea i hope this works, im going to mess with it a bit later today. I emailed the smith fella to ask him about it working as well. Hopefully hell get back with me if hes still active with his site, (most content nature looks to be a bit old).
