question about slider phonebook

I just bought a slider. All of my contacts are on a very old Nokia 8265 and I took both phones to the Verizon store to have the phone book of the Nokia transfered to the slider. After about 15 mins they came back to me and said that they couldn't do because the cables weren't reading the phone. Is there a way that I can do it without typing them all in manually? Is there a website or something?

Thanks,

I guess if you had the cable and software for both phones you could just copy paste it over.

You'd need data cables for both phones and software for both phones so you could export the numbers from the Nokia to some format that the Kyocera software could import and transfer to the Slider. Kyocera-branded software and cable runs $35 or $40, unknown for the Nokia.

I usually end up re-keying my numbers manually, it's probably the fastest and cheapest way you're going to be able to do it. I usually transfer the most important numbers on day one, then as time allows go through the rest of the contacts book. PITA but there isn't a website that's going to grab your phone numbers and transfer them to the Slider without data cables.

I did the same thing. I never did put all the numbers in.
