Does anyone ever get this problem where it says "Searching for Network" Mine has done that so many times that I finally got a new phone ( ericsson T616 )

Mine does that when I turn the phone on, all it's doing is searching for your provider

It takes some time though to search for a network provider but if I put in a Vodafone UK sim card it will get hook up easily.

Yes I understand when you first turn it on to let it take a while and search but I mean it constantly does that even when the phone has been on for a long time I never have this problem with my new T616

To fix that problem you have to update the phone's software. If you don't want to pay for it though do it yourself. Read a flashing guide and update its software version to A55. Hopefully that will fix your problem. If you're not sure you can flash the software yourself and you want to spend a few bucks better leave it to the experts. Take it to the nearest panasonic store and tell them to do so.

The problem with GD87/GU87 is that some older software versions are not quite synchronized with the networks they're locked on... That's why they invented updates
