My names on my phonebook don't show up when someone calls me, what can be the problem?

yes the caller id number comes through but not the name its under

Do you have the area code entered in your phone book?

yup area code and all, i transfered it using the sprint contact sync program it worked at first but then i started to play with the phone and stop getting the names

ITS THE CONTACT SYNC! I TRIED TO HAVE PEEPLE CALL ME BUT IT DIDN'T SHOW ANYTHING ONLY THE NUMBER NOT THE NAME. YOU HAVE TO PUT IN THE NAME AND NUMBER MANUALLY NOT USING THAT STOOPID PROGRAM! - ANIHOW THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

WUT I DID WAS I SAVED MY NUMBERS ON A DIFFERENT PHONE I HAD AND ERASE THE PHONEBOOK IN THE 5150, AND PUT IN THE NAMES MANUALLY. IT SHOULD WERK.

I had the same problem. I just erased the phonebook and transfered the phonebook back into the phone agan using the software. I didn't have to enter then in manually. Good luck

How do you erase the whole phonebook, instead of going 1 by 1

I tried putting them manually and only a couple names pop up not all of them

Go to the menu and find the security option. It might be under display, I don't have mine handy to give you exact path. Anyway, somewhere in the menu there is an option labeled security, once you find hit ok and it will ask you for a 4 digit code. Use the last 4 digits of you phone # to get in. This allows you to reset the basic features of the phone. You can clear out the phonebook from there.

It is under the settings menu option.

Thanks everyone but I figured it out and hopefully this will be useful for others aswell, in the program contact sync i was using "transfer to phone" instead of using "export", but thank you all this site is very helpful
