How can car chargers be so cheap?

Hi all. Here is a question for you. I got a car charger when I bought my phone from Best Buy. I was planning on keeping it, but decided not to. I was going to sell it on Ebay becaue I wasn't sure if I could take it back because of the sale price and all. Well, I paid $24.99 for it, it is a Jensen, and yet they go on Ebay for $2.99 and $4.99. I know they are probably generic but still! Sheesh!

Looks like I will be making the 30 minute drive to my Best Buy to return the thing.

I think I need to find out these sellers' suppliers so I can start making a profit too!

i wouldn't recomend using car chargers from best buy, the reason they are so cheep is because they don't regulate the charge going to your phone. if you need a car charger get it from radioshack/sprint/manufacturer, but do not use the generic ones. they will without fail overcharge your battery and you will have to pay 59.99 to get it replaced, because your waranty is voided by the cheep car charger.

So you are saying that the Jensen charger I got from Best Buy, isn't a good one? Yet I paid $25 for the thing!?!

I guess I will take it back. I sure as heck won't get that much out of it on Ebay like I was hoping. Oh well.

get a best buy service plan when you get your phone. free batteries for years to come. free phone upgrades when your phone "breaks"

at my work we sell the good car chargers that have the overcharge protection built in to them and our cost is about $13, and we sell them for $30. best buy is just trying to make more money off of you by selling you a cheep car charger that only cost them $3 and then charging you $25.
