Slider backlight getting dimmer?

Has anyone else notice thier screen not as bright? Recently my screen didn't seem as bright as it used to, but I thought it was just me. So today I went to the Verizon store and looked at another slider and it was much brighter than mine. I do not have it set to the power save mode, I checked that. In power save mode it is almost dark. This is a VM slider. Anyone else notice this?

Take the battery out for a few seconds and put it back in.

What would that do? Besides a hard reset.

When you use the phone until the battery is dead, the screen dims. Never doubt da' master.

Yeah, mine has gotten dimmer too. I compared it to another slider and it is noticebly dimmer. Not as dim as when the battery is low though. I'm not sure if it has always been that way or not. I didn't notice it untill I saw another slider and thought "wait a second..." One thing I noticed that the PRI (manufactures settings) was different bettween the the phones. I wonder if that has something to do with it. I don't really want to part with my phone to get that updated. Does somebody with a dim screen want to compare the phones PRI with another slider that seems to have a brighter screen, and if it does get it updated and see if that fixes it.
