To all you who says the volume is too low, please read below.
I've tried to get the volume on my phone to be louder and i've found a solution. Strangely enough, just turn the key tone all the way up..... Just try it and see the difference.....

does this fix the speaker phone being too soft as well?

I didn't try that yet, others please respond.......

I turned the key vol up to 5 and I don't see any differnce in the speakphone volume level.
I think the speakerphone is too quiet, making it mostly useless

It seems that for me only the ringtones get louder not the speakerphone...... I guess thats better than nothing for right now.....

Beware of these Phones!!!!
I just bought 3 Audiovox 8900's for the family. Everyone of them have volume problems. You cannot adjust the ear piece over 2 or 3 without it rattling and vibrating wildly, and you cannot turn it down far enough if someone is talking loud because it doesn't turn down...ugh.
The speaker phone is to low. If you turn it up, the ear piece volume goes up with it which in turn blasts your eardrum into the next state.
On the plus side, the 8900 has everything you want to play with, you just can talk on them. I'm taking these things back to Verizon and getting a Motorola (the make I had before I extended my old contract).

turning up the key tone volume didn't affect anything but the key tones for me. Not even the ringer.

This is only for the people that have the key tone volume all the way off. They will see the difference with it off and with it on.
