Motorola T730c or Audiovox 8600?

I'm picking up a new phone tomorrow and need a little help what one to get out of these 2 choices. These are really the best 2 phones in my price range. I know the Audiovox has a better screen with 65,000 colors and also a speaker phone, but other than that which of these phones would you recommend?
Thanks in advance!

I have the 8600 and had the T720 briefly. The T720 was a troublesome phone. It had many bugs and software issues. I did not like the T720. Standby time was awful, and call quality was poor . I have heard that the T730 is not much better, but check in the Motorola forum. They have varying responses and oponions. Some say it is a great phone and others say it is lousy. Now, as for the 8600, Overall I like it, but it does have it's quirks. First off to list it's quirks:

The bad- The infamous "blinking banner". For me it is only annoying when your recieving a call and are looking at the caller ID screen and have to wait 4-5 seconds to go through the "blink" cycle..that is a pain and annoying. However, there are "fixes" and hacks. Some Verizon stores with fix it for you, while others stores have no clue. Another "bad" thing is the phone book search function..the worst I have ever seen. it will search by the word with the msot "letters" in it. For example if I want to call "home" and type in "h" for home, it will show "rich's home" first on the list. Now there are ways around this, by either using voice command or by entering "home" as "home hh". next, the phones ringers are kind of "wimpy" in volume and masculinity. There are no "normal" or plain ring tones...which once again is a minor annoyance.

The Good- The size. There is no denying that the big attraction to this phone is it's size. It fits in my pocket comfortably, and when I talk on it, it feels good...not to small. Also, it is a tri-mode phone and can be used in analog only areas. Not many of them left, but I have had to make calls from analog only areas...better analog connection than none at all. The RF on this phone is (in my opinion) a little above average. Even though it may show no bars of signal, you can still place and recieve calls. My V120E would always show 2 bars and my 8600 would show 1 or none and the 8600 would connect the call and the V120E would not even connect. So the RF on this is pretty good. The first 2 months I had this phone I only dropped 1-2 calls. Lately I have dropped a few more...don't really know why though. Call quality is very good. I have had people ask if I was calling from home sometimes. Battery life is decent for a "color screen" phone. The phone, to me, feels pretty solid when opened or closed. Also, the handset does not "creak"while you talking on it. It has reminder beeps if you miss a voicemail message. Overall a decent phone. Just to let you know this phone is made by Hyundai and not audiovox...I HATE AUDIOVOX products !!! When I heard it was made by Hyundai, it made my purchasing decision a little easier.

Bye the way, just to make you aware, it seems that there may be some quality issues with this phone. Most people are happy with it, but there have been some complaints with serious problems..I guess this happens with any products...there are always a few lemons.

Anyway, I hope this helps. Overall, the 5 important things I wanted in a phone, this has: Good RF, Good call quality, tri-mode, size and battery life.

Now if you do not need tri-mode, look at the LG4500.
Or if you do not need a flip phone, the Nokia 3589I is a GREAT phone!!! I think it out performs my 8600,V120E and T720. The 3589I has GREAT rf, very good call quality, excellent battery life, color screen (not great, but acceptable),good user interface,etc...just a great phone. It's inexpensive and not as big as it appears to be.

Good luck.
