I am currently on vacation (and I still dont seem to be able to get away from here

), and I dropped my P900 in a puddle.. (out of the whole parking lot, I dropped my phone in the only puddle there...)

anywayz, the thing still turns on, but the touch screen is completely messed up. I dont my cradle, cld anyone tell me if there is anyway to back up my stuff?

I hv like 1 or 2 new things, and I didnt back those up

Sorry to hear that, fijbert. Unless someone can ship out a cable to you pronto, it seems that there's no way of backing up your P900.

If it's only data like addresses or numbers, you can just jot it down on a piece of paper? However, if you have pics or videos...

I'm not an expert on this matter, though. Anyone have any ideas? Via BT or IR maybe for pics?

Take your battery cover off clean any excess water off and shak the phone vigorously in order to bring internal water out to be soaked up. Place phone out in hot sun to dry. Condensation will form under the screen, don't replace the battery until the condensation is completely gone. You may get lucky ....I have before, but if you power on while the circuit boards wet you will completely destroy the phone and your warranty will be void from water damage. Hpefully you backed it up regularly.

it doesnt display anything
but the lights still turn on...

the whol ×××× thing is water damaged

tried backing up today
I thought I had done it!

it was doing it... 98% the phone DIES!!!
IT DIED!! and now it wont turn back on

all it does when I press the power button is the vibrate...
even when I plug it to the craddle/charger
nothing happens!

it is dead... and the last time I backed up was 1 month ago (exactly) cuz my pc broke not too long ago taking away all my back ups..

oh well...
I got screwed....

another Px00 to the trash..
these things hv a life span of 6months...

my condolences, fijbert.

water damage isn't covered by the warranty, i presume.

/ouch.

OTOH, i treat my P900 like my left nut. will be gutted if it dies on me.

I took it a part
I dont think any of the parts can be reused..
I hv salvaged the keypad, battery, back cover and the stylus...
which I will be using in my other P900 (and ppl ask me why I own 2

)
