I just got a USB IRDA for my pc, so i can transfer files to my phone and upgrade da program. BUt when i try to do that, it says i need to turn off my phone, and ic ant do that cause if i do then my IRDA wont work....PLZ HELP!!

As for as I know, a serial data cable is required to do any firmware upgrades.

aaaahh man!! I just bought a IRDA for nutin then. Well do u know where i can get da cheapest cable?..you see the reason i want upgrade da firmware is that i heard the reasoning behind my cell phone shuttin down is due to the old version of da firmware.
Do u knwo anywhere or how i can updage da firmware or the shuttin down of da cell does thave to do with the version of da firmware?

I always believed that there are also MBUS/FBUS USB cables out there..

a serial cable could still be datasuite only. main issue is to locate an MBUS/FBUS cable that the flash software would recognize...

anyways I have access to a SIEMENS USB (service) cable if you want .. PM me..
