I FOUND OUT A WAY TO SEND VOICE MIDIS TO MY PHONE....
1. Get a program called Power mp3 Cutter, search google for it (not free either buy it or crack it )
2. Get a program called Goldwave, search google for it....
3. Get any mp3 file you have, then cut 20- 30 seconds of the part of the song you like using Power Mp3 cutter.
4.Then using gold wave open up the 20-30 second mp3 you created, by going to file, then open...
5. As soon as the file opens, goto file, then save as...
6. When the save as box opens, in the ATTRIBUTES drop box select: layer-3, 16000 Hz, 24 kbps, mono.
7. Then click save.
8. Then close the program, then goto the mp3, and right click, then choose rename, then erase the .mp3 and make it say .mid
9. Step 9 send it using your email provider, I use yahoo and it works fine, just make sure you have a subject, and you can only attatch one file per email.
10. send to "your#@vzwpix.com"

don't mean to sound insulting, but that's been figured out for a while now. If you check the post titled "ringtones for CDM 8900" i think, then you'll find some hints and stuff, and maybe some free programs to work with. I use a mac, so i have to do it a different way, but it works all the same

why go thru all that trouble downloading mombo jombo programs. when u can do it in NERO. the wave editor does all of those and more. plus if u have a cdwriter u probably already have it.

PS: for those who have super quiet songs that bearly are audiable as ringtones. nero can increase master volume for the song

I have been working with the cdm 8900 for awhile now but the phone is so complex i was excited to figure out this method doesnt mean you guys can diss it, when i make a ringtone with voice the whole process takes me max 1 minute... So if you guys dont like the method you dont need to comment on it...I was just posting it for people that dont know...and as for nero thats a complicating program for amateurs that just want a simple ringtone on their phone.

P.S. Goldwave is a shareware and it can increase the master volume of the song

i was just trying to help you out with it. I was trying to make sure you know of some other programs that were FREE to use or somethin, in case u didn't want to use shareware. BTW i also wanted to show u the exact settings to put the song to so that it sounds better, the guys that posted in that thread were experts. jus thought u might want to improve your method, i wasn't dissin it. I ain't jus gonna go around dissin ppl's posts. But if u still want to improve your method, check out that thread.

That is great that you figured it out on your own, but if you want to see even greater things you can do with the CDM8900 try doing a few searches on this forum. I guarantee that there are some things you will find that will greatly improve your enjoyment of the phone without having to reinvent the wheel.

1. Remove the Verizon Wireless banner (this one is priceless! )
2. Spending 25 cents and putting on as many ringtones, wallpaper, animations as you want with a data cable.
3. Using your cdm8900 as a highspeed internet connection for free with the data cable you bought in point no. 2. YES FREE! (Well, yes you do use your minutes but if you have free nights and weekends then it is free during those hours!)

P.S. Wave editor in Nero is a piece of cake to use. It does the MP3 editing/cropping and it allows you to save it in a ton of different frequencys/sampling rates so you can tweak your sound clips for just that perfect sound.

Getting the "FREE" internet is the only one I can't get working. I've been trying for days and I can't get it to work. It's works great with the $5.00 service that Verizon offers.

I got 2 free months to try it out so I will try to get the "FREE" thing going for 2 months, but if I can't then I am not going to ××××× too much about $5.00
