T61Z Accessories Menu Greyed Out w/DBA-10

Well, if this isn't a FAQ, then it oughta be. I bought a DBA-10 adapter for my T61Z and the accessories menu is greyed out.

I understand there's a firmware issue.

Has anyone learned what's up with the T61Z/DBA-10? Any luck fixing it?

I took my T61z to the Cingular store where I bought it today and tested it with one of their DBA-10 BT adapters. It didn't work. The rep told me I needed to go to a "Company" store where they could and would flash my phone if there is a new image. Has anyone heard of an update to the T61z firmware?

what exactly is a company store and is there any way to find one that is close to my area ie.. riverside california area. thanks!

My understanding is that a company store is a Cingular store owned by Cingular rather than owned by a franchisee. The one I was referred to is in Mission Viejo. Your local Cingular store should be able to refer you to one. Just ask 'em where you can get your phone flashed, and if they don't reach for their belt, they'll probably direct you.

TO FIND A "COMPANY OWNED" STORE NEAR YOU, GO TO WWW.CINGULAR.COM & LOOK IN THE STORE LOCATOR. (IF THAT DOES NOT WORK, OR IF A STORE ISN'T CLOSE TO YOU) I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT YOU CAN CONTACT SONY ERICSSON AND THEY WILL UPDATE/ UPGRADE THE SOFTWARE IN AN EXISTING PHONE FOR YOU.
