SE47 Slider Working Closed?

Is there any way to use this phone when it is closed? I read about removing the magnets but that looks complicated and dangerous. Has anyone been successful with that? How is it working? . I thought I saw something about a code to program the phone so it can operate in the closed mode?
Any thoughts?

i haven't heard about a code for the phone to work when in closed mode, the only way i've heard it can work is by removing the magnets to trick the phone into thinking its open all the time.

i've just read a way to do it but u need an ear plug for it. u plug the ear jack in, dial, close the phone and remove the earjack...havn't tried it tho

I took the magnet out of mine, no big deal. you just have to remember to take the little sticky things out of tthe back of the screen, and pop the 'board out properly.

This works, I just tried it. Why would you want to do this though? It wont let you hang up unless you open the slider again first, you cant press any buttons etc etc.

yeah i wouldn't do it cause it's such a hassle...i really dont mind opening it and such but i just read it so i thougth that if he really want to he can do that

you can hang up when its closed you can talk with it closed you can do everything the phone can possibly do when its closed

No you can not. Every time you press a button when it is closed it says slide it open to operate. Im talking about useing the headset method.

I tried the no-magnets method for a while and never liked it... I really had to keep track of my voice dial entries and it was a pain in the neck.

I've been using mine closed for a month now maybe, and I love it. I guess it's just a matter of opinion. You should try it and if you don't like it, you can just put the magnet back in and it will go back to normal.

i just hate how it goes off in class, and u have to slide it open in ur pocket and then press the hang up button. oh wait... i cant slide it open in my pocket, so i have to take it out and then slide it open before i can hang up. and then the professor gets made and gives me dirty looks.

there's a trick where you break the the magnet in half. by closing it quickly, the phone still thinks it's open because a magnetic signal never reached the phone's computer. by closing it slowly, it gives the phone time to recognize the magnet. so basically it works like this. you open up the phone. crack the magnet into smaller pieces. test each piece until you find one that works best.
by closing the phone fast, you make it still think it's open. by closing it slowly, it has the chance to read the magnet so it'll go into close mode. there was already a post on this.
