* can't send e-mail *

for some reason i cannot send e-mail from my p900. clearly i have my settings messed up. can anyone offer a little coaching?

Hard to tell where to start without more specifics. Can you get online? If so -- and you can *receive* emails but not send them -- it's probably because your outgoing (SMTP) server settings are incorrect. You'll need to use T-Mo's outgoing server (check the stickies here for T-Mo settings) as opposed to your own ISP's. If your ISP has a server that allows authentication, you can use it but have to set it up.

you need to check "use SMTP authrntication" and "use inbox login details." you should be able to send emails without any problem.

thx to all who responded.

as larry suggested i went through the stickie by mark and followed his instructions. now i can't send or receive mail. every time i try i get a message stating 'activation rejected'.

thoughts?

interesting...i downloaded a trial version of email viewer and have no issues sending or receiving. thinking about buying the app. before i do, does anyone have a suggestion for another e-mail app i should try? perhaps something even better?
