What is the difference between the G50 and the G51. Thanks

These 2 phones are basically identical except G51 is GPRS enabled.

And they improved the colorscreen on G51.
My personal impression is that G50 feels
a lot more 'plastic' than the G51......
Besides, there's hardly any reason
to choose G50, when price is no
longer so different between'em.

r u sure the screen is different, i was under the impression that, like cy88 said, the difference between them is that the g51 has gprs enabled

correct me if i'm wrong but one disadvantage of the g51 is that the letters don't light up.... which would suck if u text a lot

My G50 has GPRS!

The Don:
You're right about the letters, since they're
not situated on the buttons, but below.
On the buttons, there are just the figures.
However, I haven't once thought about it!
Partly because maybe I don't send more
than about 5-10 messages a month. But
mostly 'cause hey, you quickly learn which
button affiliated to which letter, don't ya?

As for the screen-improvement, I can just
refer to a couple of Swedish electronics
magazines, & some different websites.

For instance, at celluloco.com, they write:

"Major Improvements Over Predecessor G50 - Better Screen
Resolution, Voice Commands and World Time Tag! The G51
was designed to attend to customer's complaints about certain
shortcomings in the G50 line. While maintaining the infamous
cigarette pack size it became renowned for, G51 series brings a
significant improvement in the 4,096 screen matrix resolution,
called CSTN. Buyers of this new model should feel a sense of a
better image deployment, under outdoor sunny conditions.
Another great improvement has been the much anticipated
voice commanding capability that now allows users to record
voice memos and do voice dialing. And lastly, there is a world
time tag that should be of valuable use to world travelers."

Since I haven't had the opportunity to see them side by side
I can only believe what I read, & why shouldn't I?

Qquaver:
G50 do come with GPRS, but only in some markets.
In Sweden for instance, I know it's GPRS-enabled.

Conclusion: They both are great mini-phones.
But when it comes to purchasing, why choose
a predecessor before the latest generation?

I hope all this makes som kinda sense to ya....

the buttons has a lot nicer feel to it when you presss it on the G51, G50 buttons feel sucky, G51 buttons feel so good to press. even better than the 8890

hmm, i guess i was mistaken... thats cool, i didn't know the g51 had voice dial too. kinda makes me wish i got it instead but it was a big difference in price at the time i bought mine.
