Games on the 8600?

I just got an 8600 2 days ago (not with Verizon), and it doesn't seem to be able to play games. There's no option for games in any of the menus, and when I surf the web the only games I seem to be able to find are online games, not downloadable ones. I read up on this phone before I got it and it's supposed to have brew 2.0. Has my provider (Aliant, in Canada) screwed me out of games?
Also, is there anyway to change the wallpaper? It seems the only way to do this is to change the idle clock, but can i have just a regular wallpaper without a clock? I can download screensavers, but I don't think these are wallpapers.
