v400 ->v600 faceplate

does anyone sell this, and is it possible or not? are v400 and v600 faceplate interchangeable?

They should be...i know i want to change my V300 to a V600 full housing...but i havent seen any on ebay or anything...wish i could. but other than the V300...i think theyre all pretty much interchangeable...as long as theyre full housing...not just the fceplate

the v400 , v300, v600 are not interchangealbe as far as the covers go...............u can change the housing? for the v400 and v600? thats kool.....but the v600 it smaller/thinner i think? i guess untill no ones done it we cant be sure..hehe

hmm i wonder if the housings are interchangeable... they have pretty similar hardware for the most part, I assume. at least for the V300/400/600

some one could buy a dummy v600 on ebay and use that and try it

it can be done and also if you want ring lights this how you do it. basically you would need the following parts. the v600 lcd which is slightly different than that of a v400. it has an extra ribbon attached so you can connect the actual ribbon that has the light. which has adhesive that sticks to the flip chasis as it is called by Motorola. then you would need the inner flip chasis with a main lcd window, the caller id window, the camera rubber gromet a retainer piece that holds down the lcd, 4 screws, oh i forgot the ribbon that goes from the board into the flip that the camera and vibrator attch to and then attaches to the main lcd and then you would need to change the rest of the case because the v600 flip will not fit on the v400 case. it does work i took my v400 apart and inserted my guts into a v600 body. it is sweet. i also noticed that there are 3 tiny components and these 2 metal pieces that look like antennas on the v600 board that are not on the v400 board which is probably the hardware that controls the bluetooth. by the way you are probably better off selling the v400 and buying the v600.

hmmm, i notice that v400 and v500 faceplates are for sale listed under the same item, so i will assume that they are interchangeable, at least bewteen v400 and v500/25 BUT i notice that on phonescoop, the measurement is slightly off, can anyone confirm, this???

yes i was wonder the same thing because phonescoop says there slight diffrent size but lots of poepl have change there v400 faceplate thoe

Be VERY careful when buying covers for the V600. While I have used the cellphoneshop.net for some accessories and options, their V600 covers are plastic and they DO NOT work on the V600! They don't attach correctly and constantly fall off. If you bought a V600 - buy good quality covers . . . and they ain't plastic!!

To Dom That mod his v400 to the v600. do you have pictures of this. i was thinking the same thing. get a v400 and put it into a v600 housing. i really like the circular light on the v600. if possible show me pictures

honestly.... like the post said, cheaper to sell v400 and buy a v600, why risk it???
