Can anyone help me out here? I recently bid on an 8890 on ebay but checked it over and it said 8850 in captions

.can anyone tell me the good and bad about the phones and tell me what the differences are? Thanks Alot!

The 8850 runs on a frequency different from what we use here. You can't use the 8850 in the U.S./Canada. You can use the 8890. Ask the seller which phone he/she is selling.

i know this is an extremely outdated post, but i'm posting cause a friend just came from asia and was asking me abt the 8850. i know the 8850 would not work here in the usa since it's 900/1800. however, the 8890 runs on 900/1900. that means the 8890 would work in asia right?

btw, he's wondering where can he find a 8850 or 8890. thx..
