I have a unlocked SE T616 and I find that the reception is not that great, the phone sometimes is slow and sometimes does not want to power on right away. I am running on the R1A054 firmaware is there a better firmware that can fix some of these problems, and if so can it be done without locking my phone cause it has happned to me once before on another phone i once had??

Flash your T616 with the R1B027 firmware. It makes a world of difference in the RF, speed (java/menu) and memory pictures take up department. basically, it fixes a LOT of bugs in the R1A firmware.

And i don't think flashing it to this firmware will lock your phone. Just make sure it's flashed properly.

don't worry upgrading firmware won't lock your phone. If you are upgrading by yourself, you can always unlock the phone.
