http://www.rpiwireless.com I have the CDM 8900 charger/usb cable..

I installed the usb drivers that came with the usb DATA cable/charger.

I installed the bitpim 0.7-test

IF i select the CDM 8900 as phone // When i go to data/get phone data, i cannot select any of the boxes on the left, there all greyed out...

If i select the LG-VX4400 as the phone, than i can check all of the options, BUT not add.. Only replace. when I hit ok, i get this error "2:23:16.937 auto: Auto detected port requested
2:23:18.125 Error: Failed to automatically detect port
Failed to auto-detect the port to use. I couldn't detect any candidate ports"

NOt sure what the problem is and i really hope someone can help me out. Any ideas>?, plz post them

Thx for all your help, Ill be on tommorow (apr 13th ) from around 11:00am till 3:00pm. If you want to aol im me I am creekerT2001

The ONLY thing that works with the CDM 8900 is the Filesystem view on Bitpim. please go to bitpim.sf.net for more information.

You can use Bitpim to get rid of the Verizon banner. The instructions on this link worked perfectly for me. You should have Bitpim set to the lg4400.

What I can't seem to do on Bitpim is get any files transferred to my phone, i.e., ringtones and wallpapers. I get an error message whenever I try to upload or download and I can't figure out the answer. Sorry I couldn't be of more help on that one. I'm sure someone can give us the answer....

You can upload pics and ringtones to your phone with BitPim as long as you overwrite an existing ringtone or file - there's a detailed how-to in this forum, though I can't find it at the moment...I'll post a link to the thread when I remember what its called (unless someone else knows what I'm talking about here)

I ordered a cable the other day and I have it here sitting in front of me... it came with directions on how to use the cable for high-speed internet access... I need the drivers for the phone cable though for bitpim. Does anyone know where I can download drivers for the cable?

Check out my above referenced link. Those drivers work for me.
