I can change my ESN in VZW system but the phone will need the PRL updated to search for VZW towers first.. I tried *22801 but they seem to have this locked out of the Sanyo (says activation failed)... anyway have suggestions?

I don't think it's possible...sorry.

It's technically possible but very hard. It is very difficult to get Sprint to give you the code from your phone Verizon needs to activate it on their network.

I just cancelled my account, and SprintPCS gladly gave me the MSL for my Sanyo SCP5500/Sprint4500. The problem is that I don't know how to use it. Verizon told me I could switch the info from my cheapie phone to the Sanyo "if I know how." That's as much help as I got.
What do I do?

Why use the 5500 anyway? It'll only work for voice; no internet, sharing of pictures/video, vm, etc.. seems like a waste of $350.
