I'm one of those people that actually LIKES the so-called "low end" phones. I don't need cameras, color screens, etc.
Currently, the Siemens A56i is one of the only monochrome LCD phones in the Cingular lineup. The things that concern me about this model is the fact that it's a "candybar" shape and has removable covers. Why?
On Nokia phones, I've found that over time, the removable covers tend to "creak", and allow dust to get under the screens. Plus, the candy bar shape exposes the screen to scuffs and scratches, not to mention allowing accidental key presses (unless the pad is locked). I can live with the key presses, but the creaks, dust and scratches drive me bonkers!
A56i users: What's life like with this simple little phone? Creaky? Dusty? Scratchy?
