Hey,
I'd really hate to start a new thread about this as I'm sure it's been mentioned many times, but as you can see I'm new around here and having trouble finding a definitive answer:

I have the CDM 8900 and I'd like to buy a cable for it tomorrow. I'd like to be able to use bitpm and also use it for modem purposes (hook it to the computer and access the internet wirelessly). I'd like to go with the radio shack version, but I just want to make sure that others have had success with this.

Thanks!! Forum's great and I should be around here more often - possibly hacking away myself if I get the time to look into it =)

ok. Nevermind. I bought the radioshack cable and it works great so far. Have yet to try the modem though. Thanks anyway.

hey,

i have been in the market for the cable as well and i know in they already have a lot of threads on the subject, but no one really mentioned using the radio shack cable to use the 8900 as a modem. thats one of the major reasons i would get the cable. just wondering if you were able to get it to work as a modem, and if so, then were you able to connect to verizon's express network with the faster download speeds?
