I was at the sprint store on monday and was told to come back on thursday since they will get shipments in. I called today and they told me its on backorder until the end of may!!!

My phone is barely working and wanted to get the 4500, anyone know the reason for this delay

i found it kinda strange as well when i bought mine tues.
they said it was the last one in stock.

I thought to myself, i was like..
Okay, so this is a big company.. Youd think they would replenish stock when getting low. But they havent.

Im beginning to experience problems with mine (call clarity)
and i want it replaced.

You think they may be bringing in a whole new updated batch from the factory?

I got one replaced with no problems, but call clarity's becoming an issue on this phone.

i've noticed that now, though it's not that bad, for the price this phone sells for it should be beter.

THere's a problem with the phone resetting and its inability to dial out. Its a common problem with a lot of their batches. This is straight from the tech at my sprint store. I went there, and got the second to last one. The new phone works fine, but my old one could barely dial out, even on a full signal. Something about the firmware, the way it was flashed, it had a tendency to get corrupted. Anyway, yeah. There's a problem, its known, they haven't figured it out. all they know is that newer phones don't do it.

I have had problems with my brand new (after 14 days GRR) VM4500, cant call out with full signal, calls dropped EVERY time after 2 - 4 min. It's ××××ing ridiculus. Well, anywayz what I wanted to say was, sprint underestimated the demand, and got into trouble with supply, now if you order a VM4500 (blue) they will ship you a SILVER one, call back up and ××××× and they will make you send that one back and then send you a blue one with a free car adapter for the trouble. Just thought you would like to know the inside scoop.

P.S. I don't work for the sprint stores, but I do work for sprint, so I am having trouble with my phone ands its a week after the 14 day period for returning phones, is it still possible to return it or exchange it? I ××××ing hope so.

That's why you fly to the Best Buy! Boo Boo Boo Boo! Sorry, G, you can do a warranty swap for the same product, but otherwise, you're SOL!

Thats pretty ridiculus, well then, I am going to return every VM4500 that gives me problems until they get their ×××× straight, should be there problem not mine.

I work for radioshack and i don't know why but they told us that supplies are gonna be tight for the 4500 for a while and to push the samsung 680 as an alternate video phone.

What's gonna suck is when Sanyo recalls all 5500s... imagine going to the Sprint store and standing in line for 3 hours instead of 1 hour .. ouch. Oh yea, for you lucky BBY customers who bought a PSP, you come see us. You get a new-in-box without the wait
