Originally posted by Sharp_GX32 You must have bought your GX32 fom SmarTone ya??? Well ... in that case you have been shortchanged as Vodafone GX30 includes: 1) Handset Manager Installation CD 2) 8MB SD card Having said that, however, the GX32 is: 1) unlocked 2) enable you to send SMS in Chinese The software can be downloaded from http://213.249.206.60/common/downlo...set_Manager.zip however it will not be compatiable with GX32. So you really need the older version which can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.matweb-twe.com.tw/MA620/Phmgr/IRGX20.zip

Originally posted by a z n A6 b o y Yea we definitely got jipped with the GX32 packaging. Just a headset, a battery, and a charger?!? wuts up with that? the GX31 in Taiwan comes with headset, battery, desktop charger, 32mb card, cd, and cable. Plus it doesnt have the annoying stroke input system that the GX32 does bleh....oh well Ill just sell it and buy one when Im in Taiwan. |

Originally posted by pierrot Just a quick one for your reference. Don't be upset because you bought your GX32 at Smartone and found that it only came with the very basic accessories. GX31 costs about US$723 while GX32 is only $600. With the $123 difference you can probably get everything you need and still have some extra money for a bluetooth handsfree. And you are also not correct re the stroke input system thing on the keypad. GX31 does come with a similar stroke input system on the keypad and characters are printed on all 0-9 buttons, while GX32 only has them on 1-5. And I know they may be annoying to you but they are indeed very useful for those who enjoy texting in Chinese - in fact GX32 is really localised for HK market so I don't see why you should be complaining. If your so unhappy with those strokes I'd suggest you go for GX30, which is certainly clean enough for you. |

And for the keypad...I am Taiwanese, born and raised there, thats why I want the GX31. It uses "zhu yin/bopomofo(ª`£¸£´/ £t£u£v£w)" input instead of the annoying stroke input. I dont mind the stroke input, I just find it less convenient than zhuyin system. So please save your thoughts on me being unacceptable of having strokes on my keypad and not knowing what they are for. Id rather have my keypad cluttered with the entire zhu yin "alphabet" then with 5 strokes because at least for me, inputting Chinese would be a lot quicker since I am not good at getting my strokes exactly right anymore. And I dont even understand why the number six is question mark. Since you are from HK can you explain? |

Originally posted by pierrot As for the question mark on key 6, it's for stroke that your not sure - just like changjie, you enter 'x' when your not certain about a particular stroke. |

Originally posted by pierrot Did you get your GX32 from Smartone? I know if you bought it elsewhere in HK (like Broadway or other shops) you may get a 64MB SD card as part of the package. But these folks are selling it at a much higher price that's why. Don't be mistaken though - I really wasn't putting up a fight.

Originally posted by assrape Hi there, I am using a GX-32 myself and I have no problem of the GX-20 version... Just try to download the software of GX-20 and GX-30... first installed the 30 version then install 20... coz some of the drivers or files version 20 doesn't have .. so after you have both installed choose the connection using computer in your phone not just switching on the infr-red... use the option of computer data transfer thru infra-red... then you may work out... |
