Yea,
So i am trying to dissassemble my SL56.
I can take off the back pieces no problem, remove the slide no problem.
When i get to the 4 screws that hold the LCD and keypad together thats when i run into problems.
The screws are really REALLY shallow and its almost impossible for a T4 to even turn the screws.
Is anyone else's phone like this?
Is there such a thing as a T3?
How did you guys get the screws out?
TIA

I took my phone apart and ended up stripping the screws...FYI, Its a pain to fix and I broke my LCD trying...ended up cutting the screws out.

My Husky T-4 head fit perfectly into the screws. Maybe they changed the screws or something. Out of curiousity, when was your phone manufactured? Press Menu 9-4-6 Info to find out.

Im not sure lol, my screen is dead lol. But I know the T4 worked to get the screws out that are behind that battery, but the ones holding the plate containing the LCD has much smaller screws...

2003-10-04 was the production date of my phone.
Is it YYYY / MM / DD or
YYYY / DD/ MM ? But yea, those T4 just won't fit those screws behind the slide

Out of curiosty, why are you taking apart ur phone? On an assumption, if you figured out where to get a new case for it I would love to know were you got it...I bought one off of ebay for 40 and it was a POS...

I took my phone apart to tighten the slide and clear out some dust specks on the LCD. But it seems you have different screws than mine because, my the screws behind my battery are T-6, and the screws behind my LCD are T-4. My theory is that they were manufactured in different locations with different screws.
And on a side note, my manufacture date is 2003-11-03.
This tutorial shows how to tighten the slide:

Which show T6 screws behind the battery.
and
This tutorial on changing the housing:

Which shows T4 screws behind the battery.
