S55 and t9 Question

I have been trying and trying, but I can't figure it out. When typing an SMS using t9, how do you move the cursor over to form a new word? I tried hitting 0, #, the right arrow but nothing seems to work. Please help!

I'm not sure what you mean by "over to form a new word". But 1 inserts a space.
