has anybody tried to save the ringtones on there or email them to yourself (email account not phone) and tried to see if any of these will work on the lg vx 6000 or any other phones that they claim arent compatible with these ringtones?

Posted by: smbeaudoin

I wanted to try that, but it only seems to give me the option to send it to my locker and nowhere else.

Posted by: deadwrong03

how do u get it from your locker to your phone? i was thinkin maybe instead of sendin it to your number u can send it to your email address or something i dunno...

how do u get past all tha donation crap?

Posted by: smbeaudoin

if it's a .qcp than you can right click on the file in your locker and save it, but if it's not a .qcp than it won't seem to let me save it which sucks. One i save it then i use the data cable to put it on my phone. about the donation thing, i'm not sure, i haven't made a donation in a long time and it still lets me use everything fine. I wish that their was a way to get files other than .qcp's to save, i really want the mario dies.mid

Ok, for 3gupload, click play, then click the thing for if you cant hear it, it opens in WMP or whatever, from there, simply save it under file -> save media as -> then where ever on your comp. Send it to your cell the way you normally do. Yes they work with the 6000.

how u get them??? can u post some of the files up cause im still lost on what to do to get them

Posted by: SystemOfAD/L

Ok, Im going to write this assuming that you are using XP or Win2k. First, preview the ringtone on 3gupload.com. Next, go to C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local settings (hidden folder)\Temporary Internet Files you can sort by file type to find the midis or by date cuz it should be one of the newest things. Send the file to your cell the same way you always do.

i went there to register to view the ringers and wallpaper and it wont allow me to register because i am a verizon customer. i clicked the other provider link, but it didn't get me anywhere. how would i register to see everything? thanks in advance for any help...

they should be able to do it still if they have internet explorer on their computer...

Internet explorer then go to tools , internet options, settings, then click on view files and search for them that way

at least i think that should work

C:\Windows\Internet Temporary Files

Is there a smiliar way to do this for screensavers, or is it the same exact way? Also, with the ringtones, you say to send the midi to phone's email, and that it will only take .qcp? Is a midi a .qcp file? Not quite understanding how it will take .qcp's only, yet we send a midi? Thanks...

im not sure about the screen savers but maybe it does work the same way u should try it.....

i've sent myself some qcp's so u dont have to change the ending on those.... im not sure but i think if its a qcp file its like a voice memo being recorded or something similiar...because the qcp files can have voices in them as well.

the lg vx 6000 can accept midi's and qcp files (and also mp3's u just have to change the extenstion and make sure its 30 kb or under)

btw....

i found a new site like 3gupload.com is anybody familiar wit this?

its www.d-d-n.com is it any good? i went through the registering process and was hesitant about givin them my number anybody use this site before? how is it?

Posted by: DinoVelvet

i registered for it also. you have to pay the $2.00 though to be able to hear any of the ringer previews. i paid the $2.00 today through paypal, when it goes through (1-2 days) i will post back here and let you know what i think of it. i noticed they have about 9 nine inch nails ringers, so you never know...

Posted by: jay.dubb

Im not exactly sure how to send things ive downloaded from 3gupload.com to my phone. Do you just send an e-mail with an attachment to yournumber@vtext.com? If its that simple, sorry for the dumb question

Posted by: DinoVelvet

i am guessing you are talking about using a PICTURE PHONE (and only a picture phone) on the VZW network? if so, then yes, just send an email to your10digitcellularphonenumber@xzwpix.com (it will be received as a pix message, whether it's a picture or a ringer) and attach anything you want to send (only i attachment per e-mail, and if it's a ringer it has to be under 30k from what i've been told) and you will receive it on your phone in about 10 seconds or so. the rest is pretty self explanitory...

Posted by: SystemOfAD/L

Its at vzwpix.com, just a little typo there.

Posted by: DinoVelvet

my bad, thanks for catching that...

how? cuz when u send yourself the ringtones u open the email then the ringtone u sent begins to play...i tried sendin multiple ringtones like that a while back but it never worked

Posted by: NotreDameFone

Well, the two methods that I tried, neither worked. I couldn't find the temporary internet files folder or anything like that or a 3gupload ringtone in any folder. Any other ideas on how to get this to work. And I am using XP.

Posted by: DinoVelvet

C://Windows/Temporary Internet Files/The Ringer You Just Looked At...

Posted by: NotreDameFone

Okay... I have no temporary internet file folder within the windows folder.

Posted by: NotreDameFone

And if you have the 6000, in the corner it should say a number like 1/4.

Then you press right and it goes to the next ringtone that you sent. I just did it yesterday and it worked.

Posted by: deadwrong03

did they change something about 3gupload.com? cuz now whenever i listen to a ringer it wont let me take the song out of my temporary internet files theres just a application in there instead of the midi that use to be in there before

Posted by: NotreDameFone

you can always go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Settings -> Veiw Files -> Scroll down to bottom cause that is the last thing you did, don't forget to play the song b4 you do this.

Posted by: deadwrong03

i play the song but now whenever i go to the last thing it has a file that says media player and its a php file and its not the media player icon like it used to be when i do this

i dunno what happend

anybody else havin this problem? anybody know how to fix this?
