Has anyone else replaced their s55/56 faceplate?

I replaced my faceplate today, and it was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be, but it looks so much better.

Here's what it did look like when I got it from ebay:

Here's what it looks like now (after at least an hour of working on it):

The only thing is, I think it's quieter now. I hope I didn't do anything wrong with the speaker...

Has anyone else changed theirs? How did it go?

where did you get the keypad for the S56? I have been searching for it for a while, since the keys are falling off my S56

I got mine with my faceplate at www.sunchamp.com

It was $2.50 for the full housing, the keypad, and the little things that go with it. Oh - and if you spend $10 or more you get free shipping. I did that by buying 4 faceplates. I ordered it Friday afternoon and it was here yesterday (from California to Georgia). Not bad.

Sunchamp also sells on ebay. If you search for "siemens s56 faceplate" it'll pull up a bunch of them that say something like "3 Siemens s56 faceplate faceplates #83." Here's one of those pages: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...3091741094&rd=1

I prefer to buy from the site.

I'll tell you that the faceplate and keypad are not easy to change. I just about tore up my old keypad getting it off. It'll be easier to change the next time though. Let me know if you need help.

Good luck!
