Status lite ringtone

Man i searched for a hour and i couldn't find any one who has asked this question or answered it.
When you upload a person wav ringtone and you use it, it seems the status light doesn't flash. But if you use the oem ringtones that came with phone the status light will light up like a christmas tree. Is it something in the wav file that does this. Does any one know how to fix this on the phone or something that can be applied to the wav file?

Seems like you should've searched more. It has been asked and answered thousands of times.

Anyway, the disco light only works with MIDI, not WAV

forgot to mention it was a i730. And its the circular led not the status light, sense there isn't one.

Thanks for the info. I really did search but I couldn't find it. Kinda thought it would be only midi files, but i needed to be sure.

No the Disco light ONLY flashes to MIDI ringtones.u kno the ones used on the i90c and the i95cl but the disco ball wont flash on WAV's....STUPID CONCEPT IF U ASK ME but hey thats BASKWARDS MOTO for u

Actually without a java app being written, its impossible for the disco light to flash with waves. Midi sounds are created using the phones software, and it allows the light to flash with the beat of the ring. So technically its not /\/\otos fault, wavs just dont work the same way midis do. And even if a app was written to flash with wavs, the pattern wouldnt change with each ring.
