I hope this posts correctly this time:

I haven't cropped the pic yet, but it seems pointless since I want the whole pic anyway. Changing the size is where I have the problem. The pic seems to be pixelated and distorted. It just does not look good on the phone. I also noticed white bars on both sides of the pic. I dowloaded a pic from someone's website to see if the same problem occured. Their pic looks fine and is only 120x124 (at least that's what it says when I look at it in Photoshop) with hardly noticeable white bars. My pic was 120x131 (I changed the size after I found out it was not 120x160). I can't understand why my pic had white bars on it or why it looks like total crap. I think I am doing everything correctly.

If you are e-mailing your self the pic, don't use the verizon web site. Send the e-mail through your mail progam of choice (yahoo, outlook, etc.).

JPG's will always have white bars (at least on the 8900) because your web browser is doing the displaying and its max pixel size is lower then that of your screen.

8 bit pngs work great for wall paper.
