if you want an ordinary phone (series 40 nokia) but with some mp3 capabilities and expansion slot, and size is very important for you...get the 6230...

butif you want a smartphone (symbian OS) with multimedia features, get the p900.

6230 vs p900? kidding, right?

unless i absolutely needed edge (or was going 6230 + 4150), p900 all the way

can't use edge in canada anyway lol. actually depends on what you want/need. if you want a small candy bar phone with everything, the opt for the 6230. but if u want a smartphone with LARGE and touchscreen, then go for the P900

ps. i'm getting my P900 tomorrow. can't wait!!!!

rogers is launching edge this summer (july 1st ?)

I bought a brand new P900 for 480 pounds, if ur are getting it for 300 then i bet ur the luckiest man on this forum

Are you kiddin me?

P900 all the way!!!

Much, much larger screen

Symbian Vs. Java (Like OSX vs. Windows 95)

Much, much more advanced apps

Watching videos at full screen (if capable) on the 6230 is worse than watching videos on the P900 with the flip closed

Comparing Symbian games to Java Games is like comparing PS2 games to original NES games

Would more people be amazed if you pull out a 6230 or a P900 out of your pocket?

Need I go on......?

Get the 6230 if you ABSOLUTELY want a smaller phone or you DEFINATELY need EDGE.

well, cut the guy some slack, he's only 19

6230 appeals more to him. he'll have eye laser surgery a few months later because he intends to watch lots of videos in the 6230. kids! go figure...

Looks like I found my backup phone for the p900, its the Nokia Version of a t616 with mp3 capabilites and expansian slot. I was happy with my t616 but once you go mp3 ringtones its hard to go back to midi files.

^ i feel once you go with sony ericsson's intuitive use of ir and bt, it's hard go back to lesser manufacturers that insist on crippling their phones... the nokia 6230's bt implementation is crippled... i just don't understand why it's so difficult for manufacturers to grasp the concept of allowing a phone to beam data over ir or bt to other devices (phone, pda, pc) seamlessly without any additional software... only se does this

Is that so? Have you tried? How did you know? Can you clarify this?

My older Nokia 6600 BT and IR isn't crippled at all. It could send any file via both BT and IR to P800 / P900 without any kinds of problems.

series 60 is a lot better (i had both the 3650 and 6600)...
the 6230
* can only be paired to one device at a time.... what's up with that?
* apparently, a lot of owners are complaining about losing their bt connections, or just not being recognized all together
* can only transfer files to/from pc via pc suite (typical series 40)... huge prob here for me; why is additional software necessary?
* treatz was saying something about having to manually press "connect" to use a bt neadset

OMG.... p900 is da bomb...!!!

Symbian Power!!!
