Hi,

This is my first post..hopefully there will be many to come.

I am trying to set up my GPRS setting on my T68i, i got it from a friend. I called rogers and they gave me some settings however the settings they gave me dont fit anywhere.

I tried to go into the wap settings but they is no where i can enter a port number. I know that someone else is having the same problems with another one...but i think the settings are different. if anyone has any insights into my problems please do pass them along.

You first need to go to 'Connect' and select 'Data comm.'

then select 'Data Accounts' and setup the WAP account
You'll have all the options there (APN, user id, password, etc)

Once you setup the WAP account, go to 'WAP Services' and
select 'options' and then 'WAP profiles' to setup

Hi thanks for the reply, but unfortunately that does not work...

The settings i got have a secondary IP and Port number. I dont know where these go. As well i was looking at my friends phone and they have three different profiles...however, i cant see any of them.

You better try the Rogers forum for help.

I have FIDO and was able to set it up using other
people's help. Try using the search function first.

remember to re-set your phone after you change the
WAP Account settings. I made that mistake

Thanks i finally figured it out...

You dont have to enter the port number just

go to Web Services
press Options
press WAP profiles
press Add profile

Name: Rogers
IP Address: 172.025.000.107

save

then go back in and press Edit

then enter:

Chg homepage: Home *then* wap.howardforums.com
Connect Using: Rogers
IP address: Same as above
User id: wapuser1
password: wap
Data mode: Conn oriented
Security: On

then exit and go back to main menu

Goto Connect
press Data Comm
press Data Accounts
Press Add Account

Select GPRS data
Name: Rogers
Apn: goam.com
User id: wapuser1
Password: wap

Then save

That Should work...

i have a t68i unlocked that has Orange branding on it, not sure if this is the problem, but it seems that i can set up GPRS and get it working fine...the second i switch off my phone, my GPRS settings go back to Orange settings, even if i delete the orange settings, they come bak once i turn the phone off and on....is there anythn i can do?
