Does anyone know how to connect the slider as a wireless modem.

i have the USB cable and the software that came with it. I appered to install it correctly, but it did not work. I have the slider for verizon.

i am able to connect to it and install ringtones etc.

If you have access to 1X data from Verizon, then you can easily configure your phone as a modem.

Connect the phone to your computer using the data cable. Your computer should recognize it as a modem. Then create a new dialup connection from the control-panel/network settings menu.
The number to dial is "#777". Enter the username and password verizon gave you. If you don't have them, then you can call up verizon and ask for the info.

That will be it. You can use it like any modem connection.

try to enable uart2 also its 111111 at the idle screen go to options, at that menu go to debug the code is 040793 then go to the bottom of that menu and select uart2 and enable it.

for the #777 thing you might not need a password so thry leaving it blank first also in the networking section of the connections options disable everything but tcp/ip
