That phone has been out for awhile now so I don't know where you got first quarter this year from. It also only has 3mb of memory, not 4. Many people around here have the phone, just look at the first page and you'll see the threads

yup, phone is definately solid...well the newer ones with the updated firmware I guess.
I owned 2 Innostreams and wasn't dissapointed by the performance of the phones
.

however, I own the phone a while ago. but sold it to my cousin just a week ago... the only thing I was unsatisified was the screen.. it does say 262k (sounds impressive) .. but compared to phones with 65k screens (Panasonic X70/GD88, Sharp GX20/22)
I found that even 65k kicks it ×××. I found out that the Inno has good resolution, but the bad thing about it's screen is that, there are too many horizontal lines when the picture (jpg/bmp format) has too many colours to display because yesterday I seen my cousin with the phone and it display lines.. I think it's just a software(firmware) problem.. because I have the dec 2003 firmware... don't know if it's that or not?

my inno90 has the best screen ive seen on any phone next to gx-22 and 32

its weird though, when compared to my friends inno80 his is blurry and has a yellow tint while mine is so clear

Hey there miffybb, you know how you said it shows too many horizontal lines? not sure but were you just using the PC Sync programs to make the backgrounds? I found that the program isn't very good for making background wallpapers. In my case, my screens showed many small squares making it "pixelated".
I found that its best to resize the picture as close to 160x128 then the image will look it's best meaning clear and smooth.
Its too bad that you sold your phone a week ago but maybe your cousin can try it out.

Posted by: miffybb

yeah I was somehow using the pc-sync program to resize my pics.. and hence, the menu kinda have some horizontal lines.. seems like the screen is like dying on me or something.
Because I've sold the phone already to my cousin, so therefore, I saw him the other day, and the screen b4 didn't look as bad when i had it... so when I saw it the other day, it's like the refresh rate on the phone is so high, and flickers so much... what problem should this be?

Posted by: braindead5400

if the refresh rate is high then it shouldn't flicker

Innostream is 3rd biggest Korean cellular company behind Samsung and LG, it is still a mysterious brand outside Asia, but its Inno90 certainly kicks @ss.

i recently got a inno 89 from a hofo member and so far, i would have to say that it's the best ×××× phone i have ever owned. samsung phones are known for their build and reception, but this inno 89 totally blew it away. amazing reception (i am probably gonna get brain cancer faster now, lol) and the build is astonishingly solid, actually feels worthy of its price. and the battery life... holy cow, incredible battery life!

obviously, this isn't the ultimate phone, it does lack many features, but right now, it's a ×××× nice looking phone, great battery life, super reception... enough to make me happy for now.

ive been lookin at inno phones for some time now. im worried bout the lack of support for it and pics/rings etc.

i like black inno 80. the finish and the color.

Yes I love samsungs too but their overpriced badly for what you get.

I was told that Inno phones exceed samsungs build quality? doesnt creak after time like samsungs?

im gonna have to recommend the innos - i know a lot of people have had problems with them but i have yet to experience a flaw with my inno 90

as far as ringtones and graphics - those are not a problem - if your providor provides wap access - you can always download them (supports midi, jpg, gif, etc)

if you get the pc sync cable, though, then you can make and upload your own mp3 ringtones (in addition to the standard polyphonic tones and graphics and what not)

for all of the features you get - the price is really unbeatable - youll spend way more money to get a comparable sharp, samsung, etc...

id say - go for it...

Posted by: sadsa

how do you upload pics with cable? no sites have support for this fone.

plus the name, u cant show off this fone. ppl would laff cuz inno is not well known.

Posted by: bluboi

well not exactly .. u can still show off cuz HARDLY any1 has the phone and itz better to have a phone that no1 has than have a phone that EVERY1 have .. plus the mp3 converted ringtones are KRAZY and its super loud too show that off too

lol, isn't that more presitgious? as oppose to owning something that everyone else have. think of the vertu's... how many people have that ×××× anyways? lol

Posted by: braindead5400

everyone loves my phone and they want it, especially when they see the name because it makes them think that its hard to find

true but its good to hae samsung or motos or SE cuz their well known. you just get a model that is rare thats all.

i think samsung has the best build quality for their phones, nokia is the worst. i heard inno is solid, doesnt creak but dont know if its high end build quality

i want a phone that feels solid in my hand and in time it wont creak and have loose hinge etc

Posted by: sadsa

i dont know why more dont have inno 80 i think the design is way better than 90. resembles samsung s200 and has the finish of a piano i was told.....amazing. very high end classy and not plasticky.

but is the screen smaller on the 80 than 90?

sure, u can get a rare model, or you can get a rare model and a rare brand. So it's doubly rare. unheard of brands doesn't mean the quality will be worse/better than other brands, i've always had excelelnt build quality with my nokias.

80 isn't as popular as 90 is mostly because its camera only has 0.1 MP.

Posted by: sadsa

hmmmm i was told that inno fones arent built that tuff as samsungs and will creak over time the lpastic

Posted by: braindead5400

I think my inno is built very well

i second that - i think its better than any of the samsungs i have owned (but maybe i just had bad luck with all 3 of them...)

anyways - i get nothing but compliments on my inno 90 - people like the way it looks - they like the way it sounds - and they are intrigued by the fact that its the only one theyve seen - i actually only saw one other person with it once at a bar - but that was it

for all of the features - these phones are by far the "best bang for your buck" - there really are no other phones that i would even consider buying right now (unless you're talkin about the $500+ price range...but thats probably too much for a cellular phone...)

Posted by: sadsa

well samsung v200 was built like a tank. when you squeeze the phoen like hte screen, earpiece it wont creak the plastic. not even over time. and if you push a bit harder on the flip up against ure ear, it wont flex back and creak.

inno white is nice, they are alot $500+ cdn
